Epiic Solutions summer experiences are one-week programs created for teens to design, develop and pitch their own startup ideas, while exploring Boston's thriving entrepreneurship ecosystem through networking events and field trips.

Fempreneur - Girls only:  THIS PROGRAM IS CURRENTLY AT CAPACITY
This one-week program focuses on female entrepreneurs, aka Fempreneurs! Teens engage with Boston's coolest startups and companies driven by strong, talented females. We will explore the unique opportunities and challenges women entrepreneurs experience, as well as explore female-specific resources in Boston. Teens will collaborate in small teams to develop their own female-led startup.
Program Dates:  July 10 - 14 from 9:00am - 4:00pm

Field Trips & Guest Speakers: You will be amazed and inspired by Boston's most powerful and influential women!

STEAM Startups - Option 1: 
This one-week program is perfect for rising 7th-12th graders obsessed with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math)! Teens will work in small teams to develop their own STEAM-related startup and explore a variety of challenges being addressed through STEAM solutions. Teens engage with local STEAM entrepreneurs to see the hottest and latest innovation trends. 
Program Dates: July 17-21 from 9:00am - 4:00pm

Field Trips & Guest Speakers: Boston is crawling with STEAM entrepreneurs that can't wait to share their work with the next generation of innovators!

Culminating Pitch Competition: Friday, July 21st from 3:00-4:15 @ CIC Boston, 5th floor


STEAM Startups - Option 2: THIS PROGRAM IS CURRENTLY AT CAPACITY
This one-week program is a great opportunity for high school teens (entering grades 9th-12th) to explore startups and careers in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math). Teens will work in small teams to design, develop and pitch their own STEAM-related startup while traveling across Boston to meet the city's coolest and most inspiring STEAM entrepreneurs.
Program Dates: July 31 - Aug. 4 from 9:00am - 4:00pm
Host Location: Impact Hub Boston, 50 Milk Street, Boston
Field Trips & Guest Speakers: Boston is bursting with STEAM startups developing many of the coolest products and services on the market.

Culminating Pitch Competition: Friday, August 4th from 3:00-4:15 @ CIC Boston, 5th floor


Social Impact Startups - High School:
This one-week program is all about creating positive impact! Young entrepreneurs will explore a variety of social challenges such as food sustainability, access to clean water, ways to protect the environment and more! Teens will meet with social entrepreneurs and startups across Boston working to improve the lives of people in their communities. Teens will collaborate in small teams to develop their own socially-driven startup.
Program Dates: Aug. 7-11

Field Trips & Guest Speakers: Boston is FULL of social entrepreneurs and we'll feature the coolest and most inspiring of them all!

Free-Style Startups - High School: 
This one-week program is perfect for teens to explore all kinds of startups! Whether teens already have a startup idea or not, they'll learn all about how to take a solution from concept to reality. Teens will meet with a variety of entrepreneurs and innovators working in diverse fields. They'll explore trends in products and services to identify unique opportunities for creative solutions as they work in small teams to develop their own startup. During Free-Style Startups, the sky is the limit! 
Program Dates: Aug. 14-18 from 9:00am - 4:00pm

Field Trips & Guest Speakers: Boston is exploding with creativity! Meet the city's most innovative and influential entrepreneurs and innovators!

Culminating Pitch Competition: Friday, August 18th from 3:00-4:15 @ CIC Boston, 5th floor

Entrepreneurial Mindset: Innovators and entrepreneurs are creative problem solvers. They view challenges as opportunities and provide valuable solutions that meet customers' needs. It takes a combination of creativity, critical thinking, empathy, perseverance, and the growth mindset to change the world.

Tools: How do innovators and entrepreneurs bring their ideas to life? Learn key concepts and strategies around customer development, the design thinking process, the lean startup, and the business model canvas to transform your ideas into real solutions.

Network: It's all about who you know. Engage with Boston's best and brightest innovators and entrepreneurs, explore innovation and entrepreneurship on local campuses, and see some of the most inspiring spaces. Learn how to navigate Boston's entrepreneurial ecosystem and develop a deep appreciation for our nation's most entrepreneurial city!

Our programs provide hands-on opportunities for youth to develop vital 21st century skills in fun, engaging, and safe learning environments. Each week teens:

  • Develop an entrepreneurial mindset which includes passion, persistence, a redefinition of failure, and creative and critical problem solving skills to challenge the status quo
  • Explore the design thinking process and customer development to build empathy skills, identify opportunities for new solutions, prototype and test ideas
  • Improve communications skills through team activities and a final Pitch Competition
  • Increase confidence and sense of empowerment as a change maker
  • Develop teamwork and leadership skills through team challenges with other budding entrepreneurs
  • Expand college and career pathways through networks with local colleges, universities, and entrepreneurs
  • Travel across Boston to engage with innovative people, spaces and ideas
  • Have an epic and unforgettable experience
